General rental terms and conditions
Payment for the stay
If you live in France: you can pay for your stay by check, made payable to the owner, or by credit card using our secure payment service available on our website.
If you live abroad: ask your bank to issue a bank draft, or pay by international credit card.
In both cases, send your payment with your rental agreement (security deposit) or with your invoice (balance payment).
Article 1 - Length of stay
The customer signing this contract, which is concluded for a fixed term, may not under any circumstances claim any right to remain in the premises at the end of the stay.
Article 2 - Liability
The owner who provides services to a customer is the sole point of contact for that customer and is responsible to them for fulfilling the obligations arising from these terms and conditions of sale. The owner cannot be held liable for unforeseeable circumstances, force majeure, or the actions of any person not involved in the organization and running of the stay.
Article 3 - Reservation
The reservation becomes firm and final only after receipt of a deposit corresponding to 30% of the total amount of the stay.
Any reservation implies full and complete acceptance of these general terms and conditions of sale.
The reservation is nominative and non-transferable, except under the conditions provided for in Article 12.
Article 4 - Settlement of the balance
A deposit of 30% of the total amount of the stay is required at the time of booking.
The balance of the stay must be paid no later than the day of arrival.
If the balance is not paid within the specified time frame, the reservation will automatically be considered canceled by the customer, without refund of any sums already paid.
Article 5 - Late registrations
For all reservations made less than 30 days prior to the arrival date, the full amount of the stay is required immediately upon booking.
No late reservations will be confirmed without full payment.
Article 6 - Arrival
The customer must arrive on the date specified and at the times mentioned in this contract. In the event of late or delayed arrival or last-minute impediment, the customer must notify the owner, whose address and telephone number are listed on the contract.
Article 7 - Cancellation by the customer
Any cancellation must be notified in writing to the owner.
Free cancellation up to 2 days before arrival date.
After this deadline, the amount corresponding to the first night of the stay will be charged.
The same amount will be charged in case of no-show.
Article 8 - Modification of a substantial element
If, prior to the scheduled start date of the stay, the owner is forced to make a change to one of the essential elements of the contract, the buyer may, after being informed by the seller by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt:
either terminate their contract and obtain an immediate refund of the sums paid without penalty.
either accept the amendment: an addendum to the contract specifying the amendments made is then signed by the parties.
Any price reduction will be deducted from any sums still owed by the buyer, and if the payment already made by the buyer exceeds the price of the modified service, the excess amount will be refunded to the tenant before the start of their stay.
Article 9 - Cancellation by the seller
7.1 – Notification
Any cancellation must be notified in writing to the owner (email with acknowledgment of receipt or registered mail).
7.2 – Down payment
The 30% deposit paid at the time of booking is strictly non-refundable, regardless of the reason.
7.3 – Cancellation fee schedule
In the event of cancellation, the following amounts remain payable to the owner:
More than 60 days before arrival date:

Article 10 - Interruption of stay
In the event of interruption of the stay by the customer, no refund will be made.
Article 11 - Capacity
This contract is established for a maximum number of people. If the number of vacationers exceeds the accommodation capacity, the service provider may refuse additional guests. Any modification or breach of contract will then be considered to be at the initiative of the customer.
Article 12 - Assignment of the contract by the customer
The buyer may transfer their contract to a transferee who meets the same conditions as them for the stay. In this case, the buyer is required to inform the owner of their decision by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt no later than 7 days before the start of the stay.
The contract must be transferred at cost price. The transferor and transferee are jointly and severally liable to the seller for payment of the balance of the price and any additional costs incurred as a result of this transfer.
Article 13 - Insurance
The customer is responsible for any damage caused by them. They are required to be insured by a standard vacation insurance policy covering these various risks.
Article 14 - Inventory
A joint inventory is drawn up upon arrival and departure.
The accommodation must be returned in the same condition as it was upon arrival, excluding normal wear and tear.
Any insufficient cleaning may result in additional charges.
Article 15 - Security deposit
When the customer arrives at a rental property, the owner may request a security deposit.
For the private hire of the Manor House, a security deposit of between €1,000 and €3,000 may be required.
When renting an apartment, a security deposit of between €300 and €500 may be required.
After the joint inspection of the property at the end of the stay, this deposit will be refunded no later than fifteen (15) days after the scheduled end date of the stay, minus, where applicable, the cost of repairing any damage found.
In the event of early departure (prior to the times mentioned on the description sheet) preventing the inventory from being carried out on the day of the tenant's departure, the security deposit will be returned by the owner within a period not exceeding two weeks.
Article 16 - Payment of charges
At the end of their stay, guests must pay the owner any charges not included in the price. These charges are calculated based on the method stated in the description, and the owner will provide a receipt upon request.
Article 17 - Disputes
In the event of a dispute, the parties shall endeavor to reach an amicable agreement.
If no agreement can be reached, the matter shall be brought before the competent courts.
